General Questions

  • What kind of accommodations are available at Applefest Lodge?

    We have suites ranging from small to large. All suites have their own private bathroom. The studio suites feature wall to wall carpet while the Deluxe have been upgraded to include vinyl flooring. Many suites offer walk in showers while some offer a traditional tub/shower combination.

  • Are suites furnished?

    Residents provide their own furnishings, and find comfort in being surrounded by familiar items. We do have furnished suites available for short term/respite stays.

  • What appliances are permitted in suites?

    Many residents enjoy having a mini-fridge and coffee maker (Tassimo or Keurig) in their suites. Some also like to have a microwave oven. We discourage the use of toasters or toaster ovens due to fire safety.

  • Can special dietary requirements be arranged?

    Yes. Applefest Lodge is a small home and most of our food is prepared fresh daily in our kitchens. Our dietary staff will work with each individual resident to ensure that any special dietary requirements are met both for medical reasons as well as personal preferences.

  • Can family members join residents for meals?

    Yes. Simply contact us in advance and we will ensure that meals are available for guests. There is a nominal charge for this service.

  • Do I have to sign a lease agreement?

    Yes. We enter into a service agreement that details the Terms for each individual suite. Unlike regular tenancy agreements there is no minimum term. Agreements can be terminated at any time with 30 days written notice.

  • Is there parking available for residents who are still driving and have their own vehicle?

    We have ample parking available and residents can park their cars with no extra charge.

  • Can Applefest accommodate short term residents?

    Yes. We offer furnished respite rooms for short stay residents. Respite stays must be a minimum of 14 days and a maximum of 30 days. If the resident chooses to stay beyond the 30 day period we would transition them into their own suite of choice and encourage them to move in their own furnishings.

  • Do suites at Applefest have call bells?

    Yes. All our suites are furnished with 2 call bells, one located in the living space and a second located in the bathroom. Our large suites have 3 bells, with 2 located in the living/sleeping areas and a third one in the bathroom. Call bells are monitored 24/7.

  • Are there leisure activities offered at Applefest?

    Yes. You choose how active a lifestyle you want to have at Applefest. Each month we post a calendar of activities that will show all the events for the upcoming month. You can choose to attend as many of these activities as you would like. Additionally we offer monthly outings for lunch and frequently bring in entertainment from the community for residents to enjoy.
